Exploring the Beauty of Biodiversity, as part of the Unit of Inquiry- ‘Local and global diversities affect ways of living’ the IB PYP students of Grade-V at DRSIS, visited the Botanical Garden in Hyderabad to understand the diversity of life of various flora and fauna in their natural habitats. At the Storehouse Museum which was exquisitely studded with local and global species of flora and fauna, the inquisitive inquirers explored a range of diverse plants and their different purposes through interactive sessions. It helped them become better thinkers as they gained knowledge about the endangered species and the causes for their extinction as well as generated awareness regarding plant care and conservation. In the midst of the pleasant and peaceful setting of scenic greenery, the students enjoyed brisk nature walks along with bird watching too. The field trip to the Botanical Garden was a perfect place for research, recreation and reflection.
