As a part of the ‘Conserve My Planet’ program which brings awareness among students about saving the planet earth, a Grand Finale was held on 10th December 2019 at St.Peter’s Residential School, Mysammaguda.
The DRSIS Eco Sustainability Club student members along with our Secondary students of Grade VI and VII participated in various activities based on the theme ‘Utility from Waste’. It was a delightful moment for all when DRS International School won the prestigious prize for ‘International School- Best Green Practices’. Our students competed with 12 other schools to win this award. Ms. Zanea Amin Ali, Ms. Madhurima Rout, Mr. Revanth Pallapu, Mr. Khetan Raj and Mr. Sushwith from Grade VII presented their innovative working models on ‘Smart Green Cities’. Our students were among the 5 finalists and showcased their talent by presenting an informative PowerPoint Presentation. Ms. Zanea Amin Ali and Ms. Madhurima Rout of Grade VII were awarded the ‘School Champion’ and ‘Runner Up’ respectively.
This achievement was possible because of student’s active participation in all the 3 phases of activities conducted in school as a part of this program under the guidance of our teacher Coordinators, Ms. Guru Pyari and Ms. Preeti Gopalakrishnan.
