With the purpose to introduce colors and their identification to children at an early stage, the International kindergarten at DRSIS took tremendous pleasure in celebrating the color purple through ‘Purple Day’. As part of the festivities, the students and staff came dressed in cool and contrasting shades of purple colors. The backdrop in the assembly atrium representing the theme for this day, was also beautifully decorated with purple-colored balls, balloons and butterflies. A series of songs and dances were presented by the students and various fun-filled events and activities were also planned for the day.
The little ones enjoyed engaging themselves in making take-aways for them as they learned a variety of cute and creative crafts like Elephant by IK-1, Octopus by IK-2 and Butterfly by IK-3. They also brought purple-colored snacks from home and happily shared. The significance of purple color was taught to them in the classroom through the identification of all the objects in purple. It was indeed an amazing learning experience for our little ones which not only had a long-lasting effect on each student but also had a pleasant and positive impact them.
